The corporate supporters listed below are not only key contributors to our conservation efforts. They also help to spread awareness of NCC’s mission through joint marketing programs.

As Albertans, we are fortunate to have a magnificent backyard with so many diverse, awe-inspiring landscapes. From the Rocky Mountains to the foothills, aspen parkland to the boreal forests, untouched grasslands to the mystifying badlands, we have a backyard worth saving.

There is much more to a healthy ecosystem than just the “wow-factor” of a view. Alberta’s natural habitats and the diverse plant and animals that rely on them need to be conserved for species to thrive for generations to come.

Alberta’s landscapes and species are increasingly under threat from rapid development and population growth. Act now and join other Albertans who give generously to the conservation of our natural heritage and the protection of our beautiful, big backyard.

There are many ways to get involved and help support conservation efforts in Alberta:

Nature Conservancy of Canada (CNW Group/Nature Conservancy of Canada)

Join a Conservation Volunteers Event

The Nature Conservancy of Canada’s (NCC’s) Conservation Volunteers program is your opportunity to protect significant land in Alberta. Their events are carefully designed to ensure your volunteer time is dedicated to critical conservation action.

The Conservation Volunteers (CV) program offers opportunities to join staff on projects designed to contribute to the long-term stewardship of ecologically significant properties owned and managed by NCC and its partners, right across Canada. The program offers meaningful hands-on education, and they welcome participants of all ages to join for a day out in the field.

Become a Leader in Conservation

Leaders in Conservation are among the most important donors to conservation work in Alberta. Members of the Leaders in Conservation program make annual contributions of $1,000 or more.

Your donation will be put to work right away, helping them take care of your own backyard!

This program provides flexibility to close land deals with short fundraising timelines and to develop Natural Area Conservation Plans — operations that are critical to the long-term conservation of biodiversity and the protection of our natural places in Alberta.
